Sunny Side Up!

I am currently using the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup. On its own it leaves kind of a dry and patchy film on my skin (this foundation is no longer available as it has been reformulated and renamed to Stay Naked). So to counteract that, I add a moisturizing cream that I found at Dollarama. The Dead Sea Collection Collagen Anti-Aging Day Cream. I love this stuff and for just $4 it is a legit face cream! To add some glow, I add in a luminescent product. This one from AOA Studio was purchased in a pack of 5 for $7 from Shop Miss A , a discount makeup site.  Together, these products make a beautiful and hydrating base for my makeup.  

 I received this tiny sample size in my Petit Vour subscription box. And because it is so tiny, you don't get enough, I feel, to make a difference in your skin, at least I didn't. According to the website (goldfadenmd.com ), "...this serum is the ultimate non-invasive solution to reduce the appearance of fine line depth". What it claims to do:  Reduce the look of fine lines for long lasting results Increase skin supplenss Create a smooth, flawless finish Again, I can't say whether I saw any of those benefits because the sample was just too small. I would consider purchasing the 15ml size, but at $115, I think I will wait a little bit and try more affordable serums first.  If you do want to try it, you can purchase it on the website, link above, or at other websites such as Look Fantastic ( lookfantastic.ca ), The Skincare Supply ( theskincaresupply.com ), or even on Amazon. The Leprechaun is also considered as an icon of St. Patrick's Day. It is a character of Irish myth and folklore that are known to be devious members of the faerie folk. They are quick-witted and will do anything to keep from getting captured. They were known to inhabit the Irish country-side as part of the Tuatha De Danann, who invaded Ireland, but were banished to living underground (yourirish.com). Image courtesy of Google Images (Frommer's) I Googled "best cities in Europe to visit in Spring" as when we are able to get abroad, I like to plan the best time to go to different countries. Paris was one of the cities listed as a great city to see in the springtime.  According to a post by Krisztina from her blog "She Wanders Abroad", Paris is one of the best cities to visit in spring because the weather is usually warm and the tourist crowds are thinner than in the summertime. I am not an avid gardener but I appreciate beautiful flowers. Magnolias and cherry blossoms come out end of March to beginning of April, wisterias at end of April, and roses bloom mid-May (She Wanders Abroad).  Krisztina also lists sites to get beautiful photos such as the Jardin des Tuileries, Jardin des Plantes, and the iconic Eiffel Tower!   Urban Decay is one of my favourite makeup brands. I love their eyeshadows most of all! This foundation has since been reformulated and renamed to Stay NAKED Weightless Liquid Foundation.  Since this foundation is no longer available, it is part of my Project Pan for 2022. It is a lightweight, light coverage foundation. I like the lightweight base products as I do not like to feel my makeup on my face. I will probably purchase the new formulation at some point but I have to get through other foundations before I purchase a new one.  Have you tried the Stay Naked foundation? Is it the same or different? Do/did you like it?

This jacket from Ricki's is an edgier ode to the Chanel tweed jacket. I like that it has texture, although not tweed like the Chanel.  Instead of buttons, it has zippers to give it a more modern flair. In it, it has a section where it shows one item for four seasons and this is the "Winter" option.  I have paired the jacket with a light turtleneck in slate blue, and denim trouser style jeans from Banana Republic. Instead of the open heals as above, I decided to wear booties instead as it gets quite cold here in February. These booties were purchased 2 or more years ago online so I do not remember what the company name was, sorry. I like that the blazer adds a dressier spin on a basic sweater and jeans outfit. What does this proverb mean, you may ask?  To me, it means that whether we are loving each other or fighting one another, we must always be fair. That means no maliciousness and name calling.  When times are good and we are happy with our partners, it is easy to play fair and give them the benefit of the doubt, but that gets much harder during hard times or when anger is involved. Try to remember that you and your loved one are on the same team! Find a way to disagree without anger and your ego getting in the way. It's not about being right, it's about finding some common ground, a compromise so that both of you can be happy with the outcome. Happy Valentine's Day!
