Decking My Halls!!

Image
From Door to Windows, I had great fun decking my halls!!   A simple wreath and vase filled with fun twigs and berries to welcome guests at the front door.  More rustic decor in the candle holder from PartyLite and an up-cycled candle holder originally from Bath and Body Works wrapped with twine. The rustic decorations are from Costco. An old gold stocking hung under the window sill and some cute Santa figurines from Dollarama. Our tree all decorated with old and new decorations from a variety of stores. The tree itself is from Canadian Tire. The large Nutcracker I got from a performance of the iconic ballet. The smaller one is from Dollarama. A hurricane filled with Christmas bobbles and twinkle lights and two plaid placemats under the wine tree and glass tray. This Santa figurine was purchased from Home Depot. This Santa Figurine was made for me by my Mom, so extra special! And of course, I couldn't forget to add some Christmas to our powder room! All of the Glitter pumpkins and the skull were purchased at Dollarama, so you definitely do not have to spend a lot of money when decorating your space.  This is a picture of our coffee table. The candle holder stand was purchased from a homewares company that direct sales items to people through the party circuit, similar to Partylite; The candle...

Bathroom & Powder Room Renovations

Image
This past March we got our main floor powder room and upstairs full bathroom renovated. We used a local contractor, who's team did a good job and we are thrilled with the results, but that we would not hire again due to his attitude.  Unfortunately we butted heads a couple of times over what should have been minor issues, one of which I was in the process of rectifying myself.  In the end however, the rooms look fantastic and we are more than happy with the outcomes of each renovation. Here are the before Photos of the main floor powder room: Here are the after photos: We gained so much extra storage space in the powder room with the new vanity, that we are able to store our cleaning supplies, trash bin and extra toilet paper under the sink. We added a new mirror cabinet to replace the flat mirror that was there before, which allows us to store basic medications such as NyQuil or Neo Citran, etc.  The light blue wall colour really brightens the room up and makes it feel b...
