Versace Bright Crystal Perfume Mini


This is a mini bottle of Versace Bright Crystal Perfume. It is a soft floral scent with notes of Yuzu, Pomegranate, Lotus, Peony and Raspberry. It was released in 2013 and is one of three Versace minis I pruchased online from Sephora.



Like I did with my last mini perfume, Yellow Diamond, I mixed this one with some essential oils and isopropyl alcohol. The oils I used were AOA Studio Jojoba Oil as a carrier oil and filler, AOA Studio Orange Oil to accentuate the Yuzu scent, and Gardenia Oil to add to the Lotus and Peony fragrance. All of these oils were purchased online on the Shop Miss A website.

Mixing these fragrances helps to make them last a bit longer, and make them more custom to my taste.

Self Care is Good for the Soul

I choose Sundays as my day to indulge in some beauty self care. I take a nice relaxing bath, I put on a face mask...sometimes a sheet mask, but most of the time it is some kind of mask you spread on your face manually.  The latest one I tried was this Life Brand Revitalizing Cucumber and Witch Hazel Peel-off mask. It was goopy and spread over the face nicely. It's a clear gel-type mask so you it's hard to tell in the picture below that I have anything on my face, other than it looking wet. I let it dry while I relaxed in the tub.  Once I could feel it was dry, I peeled it off. It left my face soft and glowing, but I wouldn't say it felt overly hydrating or plumped. Overall, it was nice mask to try and not overly expensive either, about $3 CAD at Shopper's Drug Mart. If you can get them on sale for 50% off, stock up on a few different kinds! After my mask, I washed my hair, shaved and washed up. That is how I like to relax each Sunday. What is your self care routine?

Thoughts on Gratitude

For Canada that time comes on the first Monday in October. The above quote says it all...when we count our blessings, we see the abundance in our lives and that gratitude makes our life better, even when external forces try to bring us down. But how can we extend this feeling beyond just one day a year? Anytime you get a chance to be thankful for what you have, you extend that feeling of abundance in your life. When you feel abundant, your desire for more is replaced by a feeling of enough, or even that of wealth. This may sound trite, but when you think of just one thing you are grateful for each day, your mood is lifted and your day can feel more productive and full.  Happy Thanksgiving!
