Empties Review: The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter


This was the first cleansing balm that I ever tried. I really loved how easily it took my makeup off. 
I used this as the first step in a nightly double-cleanse routine.

I bought two tins of this balm and was convinced that this was the product I wanted to use to remove my makeup going forward.

However, I heard about another cleansing balm that I am now a big fan of. I am currently using that product now and it has knocked this balm off the Holy Grail throne...sorry Body Shop!

I am not saying that I wouldn't repurchase this balm again in the future, but it would have to be a special sale, and the other balm would have to be sold out in order to repurchase this one.

This tin retails for $9 CAD, and the other retails for $5 CAD for a deeper tub of product. If I come across a 2 for 1, or 3 for 2 sale at The Body Shop, I would definitely repurchase this cleansing balm again. Especially because the other balm is sold out quite a lot on the other website.

So in summary, although this product has been dethroned as my Holy Grail cleansing balm, it definitely is my next choice if I cannot get my hands on more of the other product.

Skulls, Acorns, and Pumpkins...Oh My!

Mostly this is achieved through decorative expression which creates a feeling of welcome and hospitality, and most of all, comfort. Expressing your personality through decor, from everyday to special occasions such as holidays, makes not only you feel comfortable in your home, but others see a part of you in your environment. This first picture is of the shelves in our Powder Room above the toilet. It's fun to add a little holiday flare to unexpected areas of the condo. All of the Glitter pumpkins and the skull were purchased at Dollarama, so you definitely do not have to spend a lot of money when decorating your space.  This is a picture of our coffee table. Self Care is Good for the Soul

I choose Sundays as my day to indulge in some beauty self care. I take a nice relaxing bath, I put on a face mask...sometimes a sheet mask, but most of the time it is some kind of mask you spread on your face manually.  The latest one I tried was this Life Brand Revitalizing Cucumber and Witch Hazel Peel-off mask. It was goopy and spread over the face nicely. It's a clear gel-type mask so you it's hard to tell in the picture below that I have anything on my face, other than it looking wet. I let it dry while I relaxed in the tub.  Once I could feel it was dry, I peeled it off. It left my face soft and glowing, but I wouldn't say it felt overly hydrating or plumped. Overall, it was nice mask to try and not overly expensive either, about $3 CAD at Shopper's Drug Mart. If you can get them on sale for 50% off, stock up on a few different kinds! After my mask, I washed my hair, shaved and washed up. That is how I like to relax each Sunday. What is your self care routine?
