My Thoughts On Remembrance

Every November 11th, we take a moment of our day to remember those who fought for our freedom. Many whom have lost loved ones who fought or served in the national armed forces, will attend formal services to commemorate their service to our country.

Another Armistice Day has passed with a war being fought between two nations, and one of them has been Russia. Thankfully the Ukrainian forces have had more victories; With many western countries supporting them with weapons, and some kind of vehicle to deliver such weapons, they will continue to have more.

What are the Russians fighting for? Land that Putin wants to take from Ukraine...and eventually Ukraine itself back under the Iron Curtain of Communism? Why? To show how big and powerful Putin's Russia is?

The last lilliputian dictator that pulled this stunt was Napoleon Bonaparte!! It didn't work out so well for him in the end, and I am pretty sure that Putin will be served a similar fate...soon I hope! Declaring war on another sovereign nation to appease one's EGO is never a good idea!!

It is time for Putin to remember what happened to Napoleon and smarten up! History that is forgotten is often repeated. Meanwhile I sit here and hope for cooler heads to prevail and an end to this war to come with Victory to Ukraine, and a lesson to future national leaders.

Then I blend into the foundation with the same sponge. To cover blemishes and discolouration on my cheeks, I apply my same concealer product, but in Sand applied with the same brush....

March Additions to My Year-round Basic Wardrobe

Today I am sharing the items I am adding to my year-round basic wardrobe for the month of March.  I am working through my clothing to see which items will stay and be added to my four seasonal boxes, of which I will "shop" from every time I want to change things up in my wardrobe. For the next while I will be creating monthly capsule wardrobes that include my year-round basics and different additions each month. I am starting this project a bit late but it will go on until I have fully curated a wardrobe that represents my colour palette  and also my three style words: Mellow, Fine and Gaiety. These style words represent how I want to feel when I get dressed...comfortable, polished and fun!! How to Mix Sample Perfume with Essential Oils to Create A Fragrance That is Perfectly You!!

I have a lot of tiny vials of sample perfumes. Personally I do not like using them in the dab-on format. I prefer the samples that have either a roller ball or spray mechanism. So what do I do with all of these samples? I don't want to waste them, so I decided to get some essential oils from Shop Miss A, for about a dollar each, to mix with the sample scents to bring out the notes I want to enhance. For example, I have a sample of Atelier Cologne in Oud Saphir:    The printing on the tiny vial is so small, and unfortunately I can't make it any sharper.  According to Fragrantica.com, the top notes are Pink Pepper, Ambrette (Musk Mallow) and Bergamot. The middle notes are Suede, Birch and Jasmine. Finally the base notes are Birch, Agarwood (Oud) and Vanilla.  The notes I want to accentuate are the woody, floral and citrus notes.
